Maderas Hike
Maderas is the fourth highest volcano of Nicaragua, standing at 1394 meters ( 4574 feet ) it is covered in a thick cloud forest that shelters a rich diversity of flora and fauna, including howler and capuchin monkeys, numerous bird species, butterflies, stunning orchids, and ferns. At its summit , a crater lagoon has formed, offering a serene setting for swimming. Around the 700 meters (2,300 feet) up, there is a view point that provides and amazing view of the lake and Concepcion volcano. This hike takes approximately 7 to 8 hours round trip.
NOTE:
Regardless of your physical condition you can still climb to the midway view point, this only takes 3 hrs up and down..
